Job Overview:

Bellarmine Preparatory School is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven fundraising professional to serve as its Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Community Engagement.

The Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Community Engagement plays a pivotal role in promoting the Jesuit mission, values and vision of Bellarmine, and developing a culture of philanthropy. As a member of the Senior Leadership team this position will have an entrepreneurial spirit and cultivate support from donors, alumni, parents and partners to enhance Bellarmine's visibility in the community and strengthen the financial foundation of the institution.

With strong fundraising, communication, marketing and finance skills, the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Community Engagement will implement effective strategies and oversee the endowment, annual giving, capital campaigns, major gifts, donor relations, Advancement events, grants management, alumni relations, Bellarmine Business Partners, and community engagement efforts.

Additionally, in 2028, Bellarmine will celebrate its Centennial. In partnership with the President and the School Life Administration, the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Community Engagement will lead Bellarmine's centennial planning efforts inclusive of events, alumni engagement, capital campaign management, grant management, endowment growth strategies and planned/legacy giving.

Core Functions and Duties:

Financial ManagementSupports decision making and development efforts for alternative revenue generation and long-term institutional vitality.Collaborates with the Bellarmine Benefactors Trust Board to inform strategies for endowment growth among the Advancement team.Develops and monitors fundraising and engagement goals and strategies, including the Annual Fund (target is between $2-$4 million annually).Provides financial, investment and business insights to the President, CFO and President's Cabinet.Collaborates with the Admissions Office for student enrollment and strategic goals.Communications and Brand Management

Leads all Advancement-related communications, marketing, impact and annual reporting.Partners with the Director of Communications and Marketing to ensure brand management.Supports advancing and animating academics, athletics, music and the arts at Bellarmine.Oversees alumni, parent and community partner communications.Provides campaign design and management.Fundraising and Donor Relations

Collaborates with Administrators to support all aspects of fundraising, parent engagement, alumni engagement and financial investments to enhance Bellarmine's revenue.Leads the Advancement team to achieve annual fundraising goals, and manages all facets of fundraising and campaigns.Serves as a lead Major Gifts Officer, stewarding a portfolio of individuals, corporations and foundations.Secures new sources of support by assessing and identifying financial needs aligned to Advancement strategies.Enhances and provides oversight of the Bellarmine Business Partners program.Implements stewardship strategies to honor and appreciate benefactors for their contributions.Community Engagement

Serves as a liaison for the school in the community to grow investments, partnerships and programs that support the school's mission.Animates and serves the Catholic, Jesuit mission in all aspects of the Bellarmine community and beyond.Cultivates and stewards sponsorships and private-public partnerships.Partners closely with the President and serves on the President's Cabinet.Qualifications

Competencies/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in institutional advancement, fundraising or a related field.Experienced in management, supervision and team-building.Superior communication, collaboration and engagement skills.Expertise in brand management.Strong networking and fundraising skills.Expertise in financial management.Experience working with Board governance, and serving and fundraising with Boards.Experience with investments and entrepreneurial strategies.Desired Competencies/Qualifications:

Bellarmine Preparatory School alumni preferred.Strong understanding of Jesuit education, values and traditions.Public and private sector leadership experience.Engaged in the greater Tacoma community through partnerships, networks and professional relations.Compensation:

Salary positionSalary Range: The range of this position is $130,000 - $165,000 with incremental increases based on performance and tenure. The actual salary offered will depend on qualifications and experience.Benefits:
