** Transportation Specialist (EMT)****Job Category****:** Maintenance **Requisition Number****:** TRANS01016 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description**Position Summary:Transportation EMT is responsible for transporting Housing Tenants and Nursing Home Residents (passengers) on a door-to-door basis to and from destinations according to a pre-arranged schedule using a company (ADA equipped) passenger vehicle. The Transportation EMT will ensure each passenger in the vehicle uses approved seatbelts along with safety tie down straps for wheelchairs and shall check to ensure each passenger is safely seated and secured before the vehicle is moved. Schedules and routing for the transportation of passengers will be provided to ensure the safety of all passengers from time of pick up to the destination. Provides safe and timely ground **transport** of patients, while providing basic life support within scope of practice.DUTIES AND RRESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARYTransporting patients and clients utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.Effective communicates with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.Maintain a professional image and attitude regarding clients, visitors, and co?workers.Complete daily vehicle pre?trip and post trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.Must be able to accurately complete activity logs vehicle reports.Must be able to understand and operate GPS devices, 2-way radios, and cell phones.Perform all duties as assigned by All Points Assisted Transportation.Must be physically able to step up and down steps, safely secure clients for transport, lift to 50 lbs., and transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.Attends appropriate training and staff meetings as required.Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, periodically assisting with resident activities, delivery of confidential medical information to and from medical providers, and deliveries of supplies and equipment.**Education/Training/Work Experience:** High School Diploma or equivalent.**Certificate/Licenses:** **Certificate/Licenses:** Valid Class C Pennsylvania Drivers License. In addition to standard pre-employment screening, drivers must have had no moving traffic violations in the past three years. No history of DUI/DWI. Certified to perform duties as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Pennsylvania. Emergency Vehicle Operation Course (EVOC) completion preferred.**Work Experience:** Must possess at least one year of experience as an EMT.Our values define us, direct us and inspire everything we do.
