Overview

BlueWater Federal is seeking a talented Network Engineer to support the Department of Energy in Washington, DC.

The effort will focus on a wide range of IT services through migration to the Intelligence Community (IC) information sharing, secure cloud-based operational environment, the Intelligence Community's Information Technology Enterprise (ICITE) along with an array of technical expertise and analytical support which allows DOE and the United States Intelligence Community (USIC) to detect, protect, mitigate, and counter hostile threats directed against DOE networks and critical national assets.

Responsibilities

Implement, upgrade, configure network monitoring tools such as SolarWindsUpgrade and replace EOL routers and switchesComply with configuration management, change management and other policy management documentation requirementsProvide input and best practice recommendations for Network redesignImplement and troubleshoot MPLS Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNS, IP, IPV6, OSPF, BGP, RIPV1, RIPV2, IS-IS, EIGRP, OSPFv3, RIPng, EIGRPv6, and static routes.Analyze and provide recommendations for the continuous security improvement of the networkUtilize COMSEC Monitoring/Inventory Tools such as GEM-X and GEMONECreate creating IPSEC tunnels utilizing Type-1 Crypto-graphic equipmentQualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years networking experienceExperience managing and monitoring Cisco and Juniper platformsExperience automating monitoring and reportingExperience troubleshooting complex layer 2 and layer 3 issuesProject Management tracking tools such as JIRACOMSEC Monitoring/Inventory Tools such as GEM-X and GEMONEMust have an active Top-Secret clearance; highly desired is a TS with SSBI within last 2 years or Q clearance or SCI
