Senior Electrical Engineer

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to design and test critical hardware components of our Humanoid. Responsibilities: Develop conceptual designs and conduct trade studies to support key design decisionsDesign and validate PCBAs for critical components of the Humanoid like compute boards, camera electronics, power distribution boards, battery management systems, sensing boards, or motor controllersSupport the review of design artifacts (schematics, layouts, bill of materials...) from your peers or external suppliersSupport system integration and test activities by contributing to test execution and debuggingRequirements: Bachelor or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years of industry experienceSolid EE fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and testing PCBAsMastery of Altium in both schematics and layoutMastery of debugging HW issues. You know how to attack a problem, document, and come up with solutions quicklyBonus Qualifications: Experience with Camera ElectronicsDesigned high speed boards (PCIe Gen1-5, USB3/4, MIPI, GMSL, 10G Ethernet) with high current power supplies for compute modulesUnderstanding of signal integrity issues and how to mitigate themExperience with very small boards (HDI, flex, rigid flex)Experience using LTspice and PythonEmbedded programming of DSPs, microcontrollers, and FPGAs
