Job ResponsibilitiesLoad, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.Complies with the Koppers safety program.Communicate with other employees and operators as needed.Maintains a clean and safe working environment.Maintain all bundled areas and keep them free of debris and water.Move trailers/railcars as necessary for staging, inspect all trailers/railcars prior to loading for any issues.Reads SOPs, work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.Read and set flow meters to allow loading of trailers/railcars.Cleans all hoses on return and inner and outer valves.Loads materials into vehicles and installs seals, placards, and any other necessary documentation.Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on the daily production sheet.Maintain Metrics board in Operations room.Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers.Removes samples of materials, labels with identifying information, and takes samples to the laboratory for analysis.Lifts heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist.Maintain and clean work area, machines, and equipment.Operates tractor for trailers, valves, pull samples, change filters, and follows directions.Identifies and communicates cost reduction and process improvement ideas.Performs all other duties as assigned.Candidate Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)2 year of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.Knowledge of the process and understanding of the respective SOP and safety rules.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must maintain a good attendance record.Must be willing to work as a team player.
