Summary:

The primary responsibility of the shuttle driver will be to transport students to and from

campus for official business, off-campus classes, class trips, and recreation and entertainment

opportunities. Drivers will also assist with parking shuttles for special events sponsored by

Keuka College. This is a pool position and candidates will be interviewed on an as-needed

basis.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide safe and efficient transportation in accordance with Keuka College safety regulations and policies.Maintain valid Class D Driver's LicenseResponsible for all driving assignments scheduled through Student Affairs. Any drive changes must be coordinated through Student Life.The driver is responsible for the proper completion and handling of paperwork and fuelreceipts.Conduct pre and post-inspections of vehicles, clean van after each trip, and report any mechanical issues to Facilities.Inform passengers of rule infractions such as smoking or inappropriate behavior and the consequences for such behavior.Report any irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations to Campus Safety.In the event of an accident or passenger illness, contact the appropriate emergency agency and cooperate with responders.Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, andinternal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies.Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.Perform other functions as assigned by management.Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Drivers must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

This position requires extensive automobile travel throughout the assigned territory;

therefore, a valid driver's license and successful DMV check are required. No more than

one (1) recordable violation in the past 3 years.

Must hold and maintain a valid Class D driver's, along with at least 3 years of

experience.

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality at all

times.

Ability to be sensitive to and respond to the needs/concerns of students, faculty, college

staff, and the public.

Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to

work with diverse groups of people.

Physical Requirements:

Driver must be flexible and willing to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings whencalled upon.Requires ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, reach, climb stairs, and grasp.Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
