Valid operator's license Meets required physical examination Positive character references High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining as required by Kentucky law
JOB GOAL: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obeys all traffic laws Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses Maintains discipline when students are on bus Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority Keeps assigned bus clean Keeps to assigned schedule Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects Fuels bus Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness Discharges students only at authorized stops Exercises responsible leadership when out-of-district school trips Transports only authorized students Reports all accidents and completes required reports Enforces regulations specified in Bus Drivers Manual as approved by the Board of Education Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Lift floor to table up to 50 pounds/lift table to chest up to 30 pounds/lift overhead up to 30 pounds Carry up to 30 pounds Climb up to 50 steps up/down Push/Pull up to 50 pounds Must be able to assist passengers when needed
