PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Follow routine cleaning procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency pertaining to assigned facilities and the grounds surrounding the facilities. Duties vary frequently.QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution is preferred.Basic understanding and verbalization of the EnglishMAJOR RESPONSBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Follow established AISD safety proceduresAbide by all AISD Board policies as well as procedures outlined in the Auxiliary Employee HandbookRead and understand instructions for cleaning and safety proceduresFollow established procedures for cleaning buildings, floors, chalk/marker boards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment and rest roomsKeep all district facilities and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and playground areas, neat and cleanKeep custodial closet neat, clean, safe and organizedOperate cleaning equipment and lift heavy items and/or equipmentAssist with lunchroom setup, including tables and chairs, as well as setting up and breaking down facilities for special eventsWork cooperatively with District personnel to ensure a high standard of safety, cleanliness and efficiency in building operationsAssume responsibility for daily directives given by the Custodial Foreman, Operations Supervisor or Director of Operations.Maintain effective communication and rapport within assigned department and with all other areas of contactAssist with opening and closing facility each dayPosition may require overtime, as necessary to maintain the function of District facilitiesPosition will respond to service calls in a timely manner while serving on-call duty, as required to maintain the function of District FacilitiesAny other duties as may be directed by your immediate supervisor and/or any other supervisor within your line of authorityJOB DUTIES:Locking and unlocking buildings, setting alarms, changing lights, delivering supplies and equipment, raising and lowering flags, moving furniture, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, moping, dust mopping, sweeping, stripping, waxing, shampooing, buffing and burnishingSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
