Corning, CA !!!Forklift operators are responsible for loading and unloading material on trucks and rail cars. Maintains paperwork and shipping and receiving records are required. Work under immediate supervision; relies on specific direction and instructions.
Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesLoads and unloads trucks and rail carsMoves material and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required.Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product on a truck or rail carProvides general preventive maintenance on equipment.Completes pre-shift/startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.Maintains yard and ensures it is organized and clean.Completes paperwork as required.Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.Performs other duties as required other than driving a Lift Truck!Skills and abilitiesAbility to work in a safe mannerAbility to recognize size/grade/quality of materialAbility to estimate approximate weight of materialDemonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directionsDemonstrate ability to stack material properlyAbility to pay attention to surroundingsAbility to identify safety issues in their work area, and notice equipment malfunctionsMarathon Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer!Disclaimer: By applying to Marathon Staffing, you agree to allow Marathon Staffing or one of its representatives to contact you for employment-related opportunities.
