Under direct supervision, the tank cleaning technician is repsonsible for completing appropriate paperwork and safely operating necessary equipment on jobs requiring a variety of mechanical and manual servicing of equipment to clean and inspect tanks at client's site in accordance with client and business requirements and HPC company policies, practices and procedures.**About HydroChemPSC**HydroChemPSC, a Clean Harbors company, is the premier industrial cleaning and environmental services company in North America supporting the upstream, downstream, and utility sectors. We provide the safest, most efficient operational experience for our customers and the most comprehensive training and career development for our employees.**Essential duties**:* Practices safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.* Cleans and services tanks using appropriate techniques including handwork or manual work in accordance with established methods and applicable regulations.* Manually cleans, installs, fits, repairs valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and all other external and internal equipment on the tanks.* Operates all necessary tank cleaning equipment such as high pressure pumps, air electrical and/or mechanical equipment including hot and/or cold air blow drying systems, in accordance with operation training and guidelines and safety procedures.* May move tanks between yard and wash area.* Performs appropriate tests at beginning and conclusion of work to test quality of atmosphere in container.* May assist in training less experienced employees* Maintains good housekeeping an cleanliness in the tank cleaning areas.* May greet customers drivers and fill work orders based on the customers specifications, and informs shift supervisors.* Completes all applicable and appropriate paperwork.* Reports complaints or rejections to management.* Checks all cleaning system hoses at the start of each shift* Performs maintenance when required.* Performs other duties as required.**Working Environment:*** Industrial setting, refinery, petrochemical, utilities, pulp and paper mills, etc.* On Call 24/7* Ability to report to work within one hour of receiving call to work.* Ability to lift a 150 lbs.**Skills and experience:*** 0-2 years related experience* Ability to conform to work hours* Ability to complete all paperwork* Safe Operation of all equipment and tasks that make up service line job processes* Must provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).**Educational requirements:*** High school diploma of equivalentHydroChemPSC and its subsidiaries affords equal opportunity in employment to all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, pregnancy, familial status, disability status, veteran status, citizenship status, genetic information or any other characteristic protected under Federal, State or Local law.
