They remove all egg residue and debris from walls, floors, and equipment. They should work well with others and always keep the safety of self and coworkers in the forefront of every task.Responsibilities:Thorough cleaning of all walls, floors, and equipment associated with egg grading.Use of power washer on areas of the plant as directed by the cleanup SOPs.Mixing of cleaning chemicals to the proper dilution rate.Good communication with the supervisor on any issues, including need for supplies or chemicals, and challenges of cleaning certain areas.A good understanding of the equipment being cleaned and problems that can be caused by excessive chemical use, water, or mishandling of equipment.A good understanding of disassembly and reassembly of certain parts of the equipment while cleaning.Comply with all USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, Safety Programs, Biosecurity Policies, Plant Procedures, HACCP and Food Defense Programs.A good understanding of the MDS of each chemical being used.A good understanding of the correct PPE required for each chemical and tool being used.Report any mechanical problems to the Supervisor, or Manager where help is needed for repairs.Value your safety and the safety of your co-workers by following safety rules and policies.Assist with training of other team members as needed.Fulfill additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor, Processing Manager, and General Manager.Qualifications:
No prior experience and/or training required.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in high stress environment.Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.While performing the duties of this position the employee is required to operate various equipment such as water hoses, high pressure washers, manual pallet jacks, and powered floor scrubbers.
