Summary: Drives box truck and delivers cylinders and various products to customer locations. Loads and unloads truck as needed and performs the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Organizes delivery tickets according to the route.*Uploads daily delivery tickets to hand held unit.*Performs daily pre-tip inspection of truck per Department of Transportation regulations and fills out hazardous materials paperwork.*Adds fuel to truck as needed.*Delivers product to various customers and ensures that customers sign each delivery ticket.*Collects money on cash on delivery accounts.*Picks up all empty cylinders and any authorized return merchandise.*Fills out trip sheet properly at the end of each stop with times, product delivered, and returned.*Unloads truck at plant at end of day.*Performs daily post inspection of truck per Department of Transportation regulations.*Parks and secures truck.*Uploads hand held unit to computer system.*Returns merchandise and forms to designated area to be checked.*Takes all paperwork to Billing Department for verification.*Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability:Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Math Ability:Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
