The Mechanical Engineer leads and supports teams in the design, analysis, manufacture and test of digital, RF/analog and mixed microelectronics hardware at multiple levels of integration (chip, component, printed circuit board) across a multitude of platforms/domains.
Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field). 7+ years of experience working in electronics hardware design, analysis, manufacturing, and/or test. Experience fabricating, assembling and qualifying 1st article engineering prototypes Experience with development, capture and flow-down of technical requirements Experience developing and executing test plans and procedures Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Desired Qualifications:
MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field) Experience with electronics hardware systems architectural definition Experience in developing and communicating design and process information to manufacturing teams (i.e. verbal instructions, work plans, travelers, detailed drawings) Experience with thermal analysis/modeling - Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Experience performing mechanical analysis, including structural and/or tolerance/fit. Experience with hands-on fabrication (i.e. soldering, machining, molding, 3D printing, welding) Experience with mechanical design using Computer Aided Design (CAD) (i.e. SolidWorks Software) Familiarity with printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication Familiarity with common electronics assembly processes Familiarity with wafer and chip-scale fabrication and interconnects **This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.**
Clearance Requirement: This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of a polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
