Description

To provide tram tour or shuttle services in safe and pleasant manner that reflects the Polynesian Cultural Center's standard of excellence.

Essential Functions:Drives an assigned tram from Laie Tour or parking lot shuttles.Assists guests by providing Information about PCC or with boarding and disembarking procedures.Prepares trams for guests prior to their arrival.Performs "Tour Pre-Check List" that includes preparing trams for guests use by insuring they are free of rubbish, dirt, water, etc., the seats are dry, and the P.A. system is working properly.Requirements

Have a basic knowledge about the Polynesian Cultural Center, the community of Laie, BYU-Hawaii, and the purpose of the LDS temple and visitor's center.Able to obtain a type-5 driver's license.Able to safely drive a tram carrying up to 30 guests or more.Have type C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with valid DOT medical card and P endorsement.Capable of a full range of body movement.Able to speak, read and write in English. Fluency in a foreign language is highly desirable but not required.At least 21 years old with a valid US driver's license.Preferred Qualifications:

High school graduate or the equivalent.Requires good health and a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame.No prior work experience required.A satisfactory driver's abstract with a clean record over the last three years will be required for the selected candidate

Work Schedule:To Be Determined (19 hours per week)

All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.
