Warehouse Delivery Driver

Position Summary:To assist in the operation of the warehouse to ensure efficiency in the acquisition, storage and distribution of District supplies.

**This position has been classified as Safety Sensitive in accordance with the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient

Protection Act and/or the Department of Transportation (DOT), and Board Policy G-37-R3 Medical Marijuana & Safety

Sensitive Positions Regulation. All candidates selected for hire or transferred into a Safety Sensitive position must undergo

and pass a pre-employment drug screen before being hired or transferred. Employees holding safety-sensitive positions

may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment, if they test positive for marijuana

components or metabolites, even if they possess a medical marijuana license.**

Essential Duties:

Takes inventory and makes good and sound judgmentsto determine if goods are in satisfactory condition for acceptance.Assists shipping and receiving with unloading trucks, opening bales, crates and other containers as needed, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to associates for processing. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.Matches purchase orders to sales orders, reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions and assembles orders including placing on pallets or shelves, relocating to holding or shipping area for distribution.Sorts, marks with identifying information, and places inventory on racks, shelves or bins according to warehouse process.Files requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for all individuals.Drives to pick up and deliver items utilizing District vehicles as required.Ensures warehouse and work areas are accessible, clean organized and safe Sweeps, dusts, and mops. Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.Promotes the overall effectiveness of the organization by performing tasks and sharing responsibilities of other members of the Department during peak periods or when there is an overload of duties.Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required):

High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 1 year warehouse experienceMust have a valid Oklahoma CDL with Air Brake EndorsementMust be fork lift certified or willing to obtain within six months of date of hireAbility to operate two-wheelerDrive in a safe and legal mannerObserve all City, State, and Federal LawsAbility to understand invoices and other similar documentsCommunicates effectively and courteously with other employees and the general public.Wears the proper safety equipment

Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 75 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, work in small spaces, walk and reach overhead.Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
