Customer Sales/Business Development- OutsideOur client is an international freight forwarder, customs broker, and 3PL company. They have three divisions in the U.S. and their parent company is a family-owned and run company that has been in business for almost 75 years. They have a friendly and collaborative work environment.

Sr. Freight Forwarding Sales ExecutiveOur client is seeking a highly motivated and competitive individual who is experienced in selling international freight services. This role will be responsible for business development and requires a successful track record of prospecting and selling transportation and logistics services to small, medium and large international freight clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the industry, love the freight business, be a self-starter, and will have the ability to showcase company offerings in a compelling way.

Responsibilities:

Identify prospects, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered.Meet weekly, monthly, and annual contact and sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics.Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities.Prepare professional and accurate presentations, quotes, and proposals.Create and maintain comprehensive client SOPs and work closely with operations and customer service teams.Experience:

Bachelor’s degree.Strong knowledge of international logistics, both import and export, air and ocean.Minimum 5+ years within the international transportation industry.Minimum 2+ years of outside sales experience within the international transportation industry.Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.Ability to adapt and thrive in a position that requires self-motivation.Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.Travel is required throughout the LA office territory which includes California, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Arizona.Candidate must have the ability to travel throughout the USA/internationally if/when needed.Proven success rate at levels above quotas.

This position offers a competitive base salary.
