Objectives
This position is responsible for administrative support and facilitating the overall functioning of the Domestic Relations Division.Job Standards
High school diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years related work experience. Associates Degree preferred;Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving recordMust meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business as a continued condition of employment.All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.Essential Functions
Review pleadings for divorce, domestic violence, civil protection orders, UIFSA and reactivated cases;Enter case specific information into Court database for tracking, statistical and reporting purposes;Schedule ex-parte protection orders in conjunction with Victim Services, attorneys and parties to the case;Coordinate motions for continuances including scheduling court hearings;Prepare correspondence, judgment entries and various legal documents for pending domestic relations cases for review;Proofread correspondence, judgment entries, Magistrate's Orders, Magistrate's Decisions, and various legal documents;Inform parties and attorneys of scheduled conferences, hearings and prepare entries as required;Docket new complaints, prepare files and distribute necessary paperwork;Act as Court liaison with the general public, attorneys and litigants and give and receive information in a professional and courteous manner;Ensure cases are tracked and resolved in a timely manner;Prepare monthly reports;Assist with other administrative duties;Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance;Attends various training sessions, video conferences, and workshops;Hold as confidential, all aspects of the job;Performs typing, word processing, data entry, and related computer operationsBailiff duties as required (e.g. calling cases to begin trial; set up audio/video cart; ensure functioning court recording system);Pulls court files for upcoming dockets;Makes copies as needed;Performs other duties as assigned; andWorks overtime and outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required.
