About the RoleWe are looking for an Entry Level

Accountant

to join our Lease Accounting & Licenses team and work

onsite

in Bethesda, Maryland. Internally, your title will be Sr. Specialist, Lease Accounting & Licenses. You will report to the Manager, Real Estate Accounting.You willPrepare monthly rent and other recurring payments through Lucernex and Lawson, process other rent expenses, and help prepare the monthly rent report for approval.Process CAM reconciliations and calculate adjustment payments based on the lease agreement and our payment history.Process license renewals.Process invoices for payment within an automated environment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, proper authorizations, and proper coding.Ensure that invoice submissions comply with Company requirements.Upload invoices from Lucernex to Lawson Accounts Payable.Prepare journal entries for adjustments and month-end accruals.Perform research on payments and outstanding checks.Reconcile accrual accounts and prepare account reconciliations.Prepare monthly sales report submissions.Develop knowledgebase in accounting systems and participate in system testing and enhancements.You will come with6 months+ of accounting experience ideally in lease and license accounting.Experience with accounts payable.Experience with leases and license renewals are plusses.Knowledge of Lawson or other automated financial systems is a plus.A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.Proficient in Excel (advanced formulas like pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs) be prepared for an Excel Test as part of the interview.Good basic math skills.Knowledge of Lucernex is a plus.We offerPaid Time Off (PTO).Generous store discounts.Health care plans (medical, prescription, dental, vision).401(k), HSA, FSA, Pre-tax commuter benefits.Disability & life insurance coverage.Paid parental leave.Pet insurance.Critical illness and accident insurance.Discounted home and auto insurance.College tuition assistance.Career development & product training.Consumer classes.More!Grow with usTotal Wine & More is the country’s largest independent retailer of fine wine, beer and spirits, and we continue to grow our footprint year over year.
