As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be working with members of the Data Science team Data Technologies teams to create data analytics/science solution for key company products. You will be working on complex research and analysis, requiring strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills, while working cross-functionally across multiple departments and as part of a team.
At CARFAX, we believe in the power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This position will require 3 days per week in our Centreville, VA office subject to change with future business needs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Using advanced analytical methods to explore and extract additional data value for existing and emerging productsBuilding interactive data tools/dashboard for product exploration/analysis/monitoringProviding actionable ad hoc analytics insights for internal stakeholdersDesigning and building recurring reports for internal stakeholders to make data driven decisionsIdentifying and implementing ways to supercharge data quality and data integrityDocumenting analysis results and presenting value to stakeholdersCreating reusable processes to assist data evaluation and analysis across teams within the Data Services department
What We’re Looking For
3-7 years of direct experience performing advanced data analytics or a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field4+ years’ experience in R and SQL2+ years’ experience in creating reports and dashboards with R markdown or ShinyGood understanding of statistical modeling techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, GLM, etc.Ability to effectively communicate analysis and insights to all levels of the organizationA passion for continuous learningConfidence to challenge the status quo
