LITIGATION ATTORNEY
Clyde & Co's trial and litigation group seeks an enthusiastic attorney JD 2016 - 2019 to join a dynamic trial team in our downtown Los Angeles office. The team handles matters on behalf of public and private entities primarily in the areas of employment litigation, personal injury, sexual misconduct, and class actions. The ideal candidate will have an interest in furthering their litigation and trial skills as a key member of an active and growing litigation practice.
Responsibilities
Capable of independently managing a case from responsive pleading through trial preparationPrepare pleadings, discovery motions, dispositive motions, and other filingsPrepare discovery (both affirmative and responsive)Take and defend depositions, including expert depositionsAttend court conferences, hearings, and mediationsConduct legal researchPrepare for and assist in trialsEducation And Experience Required
Admitted to practice in California5-8 years of litigation/trial experienceStrong academics and solid work historyState and Federal court experienceSkills And Abilities Required
Must possess strong oral advocacy skillsMust possess strong research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to handle matters of a highly sensitive natureAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projectsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to identify and resolve problems quicklyA strong desire to try casesMust be based in Los Angeles or Orange County. No in-office presence is required, but must be willing to travel for trials, in-person client meetings, and depositions.

The salary range for this position is $185,000-$200,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
