Our client is a forward-thinking logistics company ( 3PL ), and they are now hiring a Vice President of Finance. The Vice President of Finance will be critical in driving the organization's financial strategy, planning, and oversight. This senior leadership position requires a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the logistics industry, a strong understanding of financial operations, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's strategic objectives and drive sustainable growth.

Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.

Oversee financial reporting and compliance activities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and other financial reports.

Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to optimize financial performance and support ongoing business operations.

Lead financial modeling and analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, assess risk, and support strategic decision-making related to business expansion, acquisitions, and partnerships.

Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement cost optimization initiatives, process improvements, and efficiency measures to enhance profitability and operational performance.

Establish strong relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, investors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.

Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting the logistics and transportation industry, and advise senior management on potential implications and opportunities.

Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth and success.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance leadership roles within the logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry, with a deep understanding of logistics operations and financial management.

Proven strategic financial leadership track record, focusing on driving growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Strong analytical skills and financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis proficiency.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

Proficiency in financial management software and systems, including ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and data analytics platforms.
