This role looks after the whole corporation's Accounting Operations and partners directly with the CEO and other Executive Leadership. Hybrid work schedule located in the Northern Greater Boston Area, please review the job description and apply for further consideration.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the general ledger and sub ledgersProvide monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial analysesEstablish and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and complianceCoordinate or assist with the budget and forecast process to support financial planningEffectively prepare reporting packages for Board meeting decksAssist and support in the implementation of Transfer Pricing strategiesResearch accounting issues to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Handle month-end closing and reporting processesAnalyze and report cost variances to provide insights into financial performanceServe as a liaison to external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory complianceResearch, prepare, and execute Accounting Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as requiredRespond to financial-related questions from employees and provide necessary supportPrepare and consolidate financial statements and reportsThe Successful ApplicantCPA preferredBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related field8 - 10 + years within the manufacturing sector (accounting or audit)Understanding GAAP and firm accounting policies and procedureExperience in SOX control execution/documentationStrong Microsoft Excel skills requiredConsolidated financial statements track record essentialWhat's on OfferBase Salary Range: $180,000 - $210,000BonusPTOHybrid work scheduleOpportunity for future career growthInsurance: health, dental, visionNational days vacationAdditional benefits
