JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION:
Site Manager
RESPONSIBILITY:
To assist the Athletic Director in the on-site preparations and operations of home contests.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Athletic Director
JOB DESCRIPTION:Arrive at least an hour prior to the contest.Check with the athletic office and get money box(es), tickets, event sheets and officials checks from Athletic Office Assistant or Athletic Director.Ensure ticket sellers/takers are in place at least 30 minutes prior to each non-varsity contest and 60 minutes prior to each varsity contest and stay until the end of halftime of the final contest.When appropriate make sure programs and rosters are available for sale.Make sure facility is prepared: press box, scoreboard, fields, phones flags, chains, locker rooms, gates, etc.Greet opposing teams, inform them of time schedules and direct them to the appropriate dressing room facilities, etc.Greet the scheduled officials and ensure that they understand their responsibilities and that they sign for their paychecks on the appropriate from in coaches manual.Ensure that the announcer knows procedures, has any special announcements and is aware of the National Anthem being used.Make sure American Flag is appropriately displayed and removed at the end of the contest. (If applicable)Assist with the supervision of crowd control.Supervise athletic facilities and proceedings during contests.Ensure that money boxes, and all required forms are secured in the Athletic Department office immediately following each home contest.Report any facility problems/needs to the Athletic Director. Other duties as deemed necessary by the Athletic Director.
