About the role
The Marketing Automation Specialist II will play a critical role in supporting Credible's marketing operations through the development and maintenance of automated solutions for complex business requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and be adept at managing multi-touch campaigns, coding emails, and audience segmentation. They will join a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing our marketing initiatives and driving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Support end-to-end SFMC processes, including complex campaign setup, maintenance, system administration, and data hygiene
Develop and maintain email templates using HTML/CSS, MJML, and AMPScript
Create SQL queries and filters for precise audience segmentation
Design and execute multi-touch customer journeys using SFMC
Troubleshoot and resolve issues for teams using SFMC, including managing support cases with Salesforce
Support the technical development of data integrations and process automations
Maintain data hygiene according to industry best practices
Proactively suggest process and system improvements to enhance SFMC’s functionality
Collaborate with stakeholders from marketing, product, legal, and finance to define technical requirements, create prototypes, test, deploy, document, and report on performance
Bring expertise in personalization and marketing automation to create dynamic email content and segmentation rules to customize marketing campaigns
Evangelize the spirit of transformation across the team to ensure continuous improvement in our marketing operations
Establish strong relationships across partners (business, creative, MarTech, data, operations) to deliver efficient and effective campaigns
Education and experience
BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience with an email marketing platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Iterable, Braze, Hubspot, etc.)
Proficiency in HTML/CSS required
Knowledge of SQL fundamentals and the ability to update and maintain Relational Data Models preferred
Experience with SOAP and REST API integrations is a plus
Experience with Salesforce products, particularly Marketing Cloud and CRM
Understanding of the data privacy landscape (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CCPA, GDPR, CASL) and the importance of PII
Prior experience in project/program management and familiarity with Agile Methodology and Jira
Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a passion for learning new technologies
Collaborative, innovative, and flexible team-oriented mindset
Preferred qualifications
Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
Experience with project management software like Jira, Asana, etc.
Agile or PMP certification
2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, AMPscript, and SSJS
Experience with Salesforce Core applications, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud
A keen eye for details and obsession with accuracy of work
Highly effective communicator and skilled relationship-builder, capable of influencing internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking
Ability to interpret analytics/trends and identify actionable insights
Proficient in A/B and multivariate testing, as well as tracking and tagging best practices
