Portfolio Manager in San Francisco, CA . The Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager is a key member of the deal team to successfully manage Commercial Banking relationships. Portfolio Managers are intimately involved in the entire deal process from origination to ongoing management. This role helps grow revenue by successfully closing new business relationships and retaining and expanding existing relationships with excellent customer satisfaction.Essential Functions:Underwrites commercial loans ranging from direct deals to syndications.Manages credit risk and makes independent calls on assigned portfolio of relationships.Directly accountable for managing and servicing a portfolio while operating within the bank's risk appetite and policies.Ensures financial statements are spread and analyzed, addresses industry risks, monitors collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, monitors credit performance, facilitates loan documentation and closing, and assists in committee presentations.Handles reporting on loans such as past dues, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance updates, portfolio profitability, risk grades, etc.Provides customer service, participates in sales calls with Relationship Managers, and helps identify customer needs.Keeps informed of financial and market trends in the portfolio and analyzes those trends for the effect they will have on the portfolio.Assists bankers with new and existing loan requests and other special projects.Senior level may manage Analysts and Loan Specialists.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or other related field and 4+ years of banking, relationship management, underwriting and credit experience or other directly related experience.
