Imagery Analyst - Journeyman
Locations: Springfield, VA
Experience Level: Journeyman (3-10 years of experience)

Role Description
We are presently identifying candidates for our client for the following position: Imagery Analyst - Journeyman. The Imagery Analyst services include researching the NES or its follow-on, and other appropriate databases for amplifying information, producing standard NGA imagery analysis products, and effectively collaborating with the NSG, ASG, IC, and other organizations that enhance collection, research, analysis, and production generation processes.
Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizen.
Active Top-Secret/SCI security clearance at time of application and willingness to complete a CI poly upon request.
Three to ten (3-10) years relevant experience with High School diploma and specialized training.
Bachelor's degree in related field can be included for up to 4 years of experience.
Master's degree in related field can be included for an additional two years of experience.
Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry.
Knowledge of and experience with most of the following: ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS Imagine, MRSID, VB/VBA (or some other object-oriented programming/scripting language), Oracle and other appropriate software to analyze geospatial data.
Capability to read and understand intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GIS to develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products to solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates should have completed Formal/Advanced Military IA Training (Tech School, Advanced Individual Training, A School, or other MOS/AFSC/Rate granting equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes and sensors.
Responsibilities
Knowledge of soft copy and multi-spectral exploitation functionalities
In-depth knowledge of: RemoteView, IEC, NES, and Microsoft Office
Provide imagery analysis against targets utilizing a variety of platforms to locate, identify, characterize, and monitor strategic operational and tactical facilities
Perform Full Motion Video Analysis (FMV) when needed
Research NES, its follow-on, SOM, or SOM-like applications that support OBP and its related databases, automated message-handling systems, and other appropriate databases for amplifying information and producing standard and formalized imagery analysis products
Collaborate with other Intelligence Community analysts during collection, research, analysis, and product generation processes
Provide support in identifying technology gaps in capabilities and processes and support the insertion of new imagery related technology into operational environment
Perform quality control on analytical products
Produce summary-type reports, detailed mission graphics, database remarks, ad-hoc reports, and daily briefings
Read, extract, and plot coordinates using multiple map and chart scales, projects, and datums
Provide and create metadata
Conduct multi-INT research to support or provide background for imagery analysis
Create shapefiles, geo-databases, and data retrieval/storage to support intelligence analysis
Prioritize multiple tasks and remain flexible under changing requirements
Experience using ESRI's Arc Suite, SocetSet, ERDAS Imagine, RemoteView, TerraExplorer/Builder, CAD
Work Environment
Work is within a team environment and will be conducted on site in Springfield, VA.
