We are seeking a dedicated CDL Local Delivery Driver of Medical Equipment (CDL-Patient Service Technician) who wants to be part of a company who makes a difference in patient's lives. In this position you will be responsible for making deliveries, providing services and ensuring patients and/or caregivers understand instructions for and are comfortable with use of respiratory and medical equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/objective

Position is responsible for the delivery, set up, and maintenance of medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies, and the instruction to patients and/or caregivers concerning proper use and maintenance of equipment.

Adheres to and implements all AMME policies and proceduresDevelops and maintains working knowledge of:Current HME products and services offered by the company; andAll applicable governmental regulationsManages territory to reach service goals and delivers equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable federal, state and local governmental regulations.Delivers and educates patients on the safe use and maintenance of respiratory and HME equipment in the home or office setting.Completes written patient visit reports following setup and follow-up visits per company policy.Assists in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.Processes all orders and required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.Develops basic reimbursement knowledge, completely documents all information required to ensure reimbursement of equipment, products and services.Develops technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the HME or respiratory products and services provided by the company.Assists with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company and JCAHO standards.Maintains home oxygen systems in patients' homes per company policy.Assumes on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.Reports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and procedures.Maintains delivery activity databaseMaintains assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe working conditionCompletes shipping papers when transporting hazardous materials in accordance to Rotech policy and proceduresCommunicates to supervisor any vehicle problems or conditions which would otherwise compromise the vehicle's safe operations.Prepares and maintains written company records to include invoices, work orders, manifests and logs.Other Duties and Responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalentHazardous materials and tanker endorsement preferred but not required. Will be required to obtain once employed with our company.Must have a motor vehicle record (MVR) free from suspensions, limitations or convictions for major offenses or serious traffic violations as stipulated in Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Sec on 383.51, Subpart D -Driver Disqualifications and PenaltiesOne to three years' delivery experience and working in healthcare, home health or medical fieldStrong customer service backgroundSuccessfully pass a DOT physical examination upon initial employment and every two years thereaaferValid commercial driver's license (CDL) and medical examiner's certificate as applicable to the weight class of the vehicle he or she will be responsible for driving and issued by the State in which you resideSkills, Knowledge and Abilities
