Large St. Louis based hospital is seeking a full-time, subspecialty trained breast imager for a position at in suburban west St. Louis County, and in Sullivan, MO. The position will also include a courtesy faculty appointment with a local medical school and opportunities to regularly participate in educational activities and career development opportunities. As a full-time board-certified breast radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting and diagnosing medical images of the breast using various imaging modalities such as mammography, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and other advanced imaging techniques. Your primary role will be to work collaboratively with other professionals in healthcare to provide accurate and timely diagnosis of breast abnormalities. Your duties will include but not limited to: Interpret medical images of the breast to identify any abnormalities and make accurate diagnoses. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals to plan treatment options for patients with breast abnormalities. Provide consultation services to physicians and surgeons on the interpretation of breast imaging studies. Keep up to date with the latest advancements in breast imaging technology and participate in ongoing professional development. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, ensuring they understand the diagnostic process, risks, and benefits of imaging procedures. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all diagnoses, imaging studies, and procedures performed. Qualifications: Board certification by the American Board of Radiology, with a subspecialty certification in breast imaging. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of current practices and standards in breast imaging. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
