Overview:

The Director of Development Operations Plano develops and implements the organization's advancement strategy with a focus on the Plano campus. This role provides strategic counsel on organizational communications and marketing in support of the identified strategies. The Director of Development Plano Operations works closely with the Director of Corporate Partners & Extracurricular and the Director of Alumni Relations in the planning and execution of long-term giving initiatives while enhancing annual giving and ongoing major fundraising efforts. These include but are not limited to capital campaign development, special events, and developing and maintaining long-term philanthropic relationships with individual donors, Endowments, corporate supporters, and granting foundations to reach financial goals. The Director also manages a portfolio of donor prospects, working to cultivate, solicit, and steward significant contributions for both the PCA Fund and Sponsor-A-Lion. Additionally, the Director serves as the lead over the Zig Ziglar Sponsorship Committee-Plano, implementing strategies to secure sponsorships and maximize support. The Director of Development Plano Operations is responsible for the management and leadership of current and future development staff members across the Plano campus.

Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Director of Alumni Relations and Director of Corporate Partnerships & Extracurricular officers.Develop and coordinate administrative direction for all development programs.Define and implement specific and achievable fundraising strategies for the PCA Annual Fund Plano and Sponsor-A-Lion initiatives.Develop and implement short- and long-term strategic campaign and fundraising plans.Coordinate and manage the annual campaign, capital campaigns, and other fundraising strategies specific to the Plano location.Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects and donors.Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, ensuring regular contact and personalized communication.Prepare and present proposals to potential donors, soliciting major gifts in support of organizational priorities.Ensure timely and appropriate follow-up with donors to foster long-term relationships and continued engagement.Engage and cultivate new donor relationships while nurturing existing ones.Work with the Sr. Director of Development & Stewardship to enhance donor relationships and goalsDevelop and execute stewardship plans to acknowledge and recognize donors, ensuring they are kept informed about the impact of their gifts.Develop and manage a donor stewardship and recognition program.Engage supporters through personalized communication, updates on progress, and opportunities for involvement.Maintain transparency throughout the fundraising process.Adhere to and strictly follow ethical principles and guidelines.Ensure all fundraising efforts within the Plano campus are coordinated, reviewed, and approved.Expand the planned giving program, including marketing of planned gifts, endowments, and bequests.Serve as the lead over the Zig Ziglar Sponsorship Committee- Plano, implementing strategies to secure sponsorships and maximize support.Attend fundraising events and other major events as a PCA representative.Ensure that PCA's vision and mission are effectively communicated in all campaign and fundraising materials.Maintain accurate and detailed records of donor interactions, proposals, and gift agreements in the donor database.Use research and data analysis to identify and qualify potential major gift prospects.

• Prestonwood Baptist Church member required

Physical, Mental Requirements and Work Environment:

• Regularly sitting at the computer requiring repetitive finger motion and manual dexterity

• Up to several hours of walking and standing during events

• Subject to working more than required hours during certain event

• Ability to manage multiple coinciding projects

• Close visual acuity required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and reading

• Hearing - ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction

• Talking - expressing ideas by means of the spoken word to convey instructions to students, parents and other workers

• Ability to communicate effectively, even in stressful situations

• Professional appearance and dress required, as this person is often the "host" of PCA-wide meetings and events

• Primarily inside, office environment with the exception of hosting or attending a few outside events throughout the year

• Occasional lifting of 5 to 25 pounds
