Territory Manager (Hybrid).
Overview:
The Territory Manager (Hybrid) position will be responsible for covering the Sacramento, Central Valley, N. Nevada, and Boise, ID markets. This position will have responsibilities for leading both specifications and account management. In this role the person will be responsible for finalizing details and closing sales for projects with local accounts within his/her assigned Territory - including pricing, quantities, material specifications, and shipping/delivery.
A Short List of Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Identify new opportunities for Formica sales within the Architect and Design community, within assigned territory, to achieve/exceed financial objectives including sales, share, and profitability.Being a key member of the market selling team consisting of Inside Sales, Channel Manager and Distributor Reps - to ensure cohesive development and tracking of projects and opportunities to grow Formica sales in assigned territory.Enhanced partnerships with local distributor branches to facilitate project tracking, execution of initiatives/promotions, and distributor sales force coaching.Identify and understand competitive landscape, inclusive of product and distribution and actively shares these findings appropriately.Accurately prepare monthly demand forecasts as well as structured and ad hoc market reports, and track performance to deliver/exceed the Territory sales plan monthly, quarterly, and annually.Maintain current product and program knowledge - both Formica and competitive information, to effectively present Formica programs and products to customers to close sales; is able to use facts, data, and information to effectively overcome sales barriers, and ensure Formica product is specified in jobs.Develop a market strategy that positions the Formica® "House of Brands" with key accounts to capture share in the residential segment.Engage support from the A&D Spec Manager who will align needs for sales tools/collaterals with Formica marketing.Finalize and close sales with OEMs and target accounts - Distributors and Fabricators, within assigned territory to achieve/exceed financial objectives including sales, share, and profitability.Working with the A&D Specialist and distribution, execute and facilitate the marketing collateral strategy in the market.We're Looking for A Self-Starter Who Meets the Following Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field3 + years of relevant experienceDemonstrated sales abilityAbility to travel 50% of the time including overnight travelBusiness to Business (B2B) selling experience preferredSelling architecturally specified products preferredLeads by example; ability to motivate others to achieve resultsExcellent (verbal and written) communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills.Ability to collaborate and coordinate across the internal organization (Field Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.)Knowledge of computer systems/programsDemonstrated ability to organize and manage timeKnowledge of local markets preferredDemonstrates the ability to provide solutions to customer needs in a win-win fashionMust be able to present a value proposition and overcome price discussion/negotiationEffectively balances internal relationships with external customer demands

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annual base compensation + Cost of Living Adjustment (based on location) + Annual Sales Incentive
