Overview:
The successful candidate will work as part of a team that is responsible for new product development and sustaining engineering of Internet enabled hand-held embedded productsResponsibilities include quality assurance, design and maintain test plans, collaborating with team members, and developing automated tests.This position requires an excellent team player with great communication skills who demonstrates a passion for delivering software with uncompromising quality to customers. The candidate will frequently be required to work on a cross-functional level in partnership with other Snap-on Diagnostics Software Development sites across the globe.KEY TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIESContribute as a member in an Agile software development teamEnsure software meets quality standards prior to its releaseCollaborate with team members in designing test strategies and test plansDevelop regression test plansDocument test procedures and testing resultsDocument defects in bug tracking system with good details and steps to reproduceProvide feedback on software usability and functionalityDesign and develop test automation scriptsEDUCATIONDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent work experiencePreferred certifications in Software Quality testing
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office based, with some travel requirementsQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
3 to 5 years of Software Quality Assurance experience in an Embedded/Mobile environmentExperienced in Agile/KANBAN practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience with test-plan/test-case creation, execution and reportingExperience in C++/C# programming languagesExperience creating and developing automated testsUnderstanding of Quality Assurance best practices and industry standardsNice to Have
