OVERVIEW : Solid, well established and premiere transactional Entertainment-based Law practice seeks experienced candidate to provide assistance to dynamic Partner specializing in representing Music talent. Work is exciting, diverse and dynamic. Office culture is inclusive, authentic and close-knit group of 50 and growing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Efficiently communicate with attorneys, colleagues, and client teams (oral and written communications)Draft correspondenceCoordinate agreement approvals and executionTrack transaction negotiations and documentsFile, search and retrieve documents and correspondence using the iManage document management system plus document naming protocolHandle word processing, employing correct grammar, spelling, and formattingCreate spreadsheetsSchedule calls, videoconferences, and meetingsProcess new client/matter requestsMaintain contact lists and calendarsEnter billable time in billing program and prepare expense reportsScreen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls as well as multiple assignments.CHARACTERISTICS FOR SUCCESS
Must be well organized, highly efficient and pay close attention to the detailsManage high and prioritize high volume of tasks and projects quickly; creates systems for strong follow through so nothing slips through cracksResourceful and creative problem solverExcels when multi taking, meeting deadlines in fast paced environmentsExperience working with contracts in an entertainment environmentHigh level of integrity, discretion and handling confidential informationProfessional with a collegial manner; able to interface with clients and other professionals3 years+ experience required working as a productive Legal/Business Affairs AssistantProficient in Microsoft Word. Excel, Adobe, Outlook, iManage or other document management systemAble to prioritize urgent issues effectively, manage them proactively and a positive, can-do attitudeLaw Firm Experience a plus
