Project Manager
The incumbent is responsible for managing multiple complex hospital/healthcare projects varying in size in an active hospital setting. Oversees all aspects of project management, including administering and subcontracting agents, services, and professionals required for successful completion of the projects. The Project Manager will maintain direct supervision of the project team and will work with the Hospital PM Team to maintain current and accurate project budget and schedules. Responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction, accurate communication with end users, administration, and other team members. The Project Manager shall work to advance the Hospital's Common Purpose and exemplify its values in all functions of the job. Strong interpersonal skills, customer service, and communication abilities in high-pressure environments are top priorities.
3-5 years Active Hospital Experience, 7-10 years Project Management / Owner's Rep Experience, Has AHCA, ICRA (Infection Control Risk management), ILSN (Interim Life Safety Permit) and OSHA knowledge and experience. Some night or weekend work will be required for Hospital Shutdowns, associated day(s) off during week. Can, lead, manage, and document projects from start to finish Provide projects, size, type, year of projects managed. Can effectively use Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Can adapt to new technology and software
Detailed Description of Duties: Jointly plan, program, manage, and assist in coordination of multiple capital and non-capital construction projects consistent with the goals and priorities of the university in an active hospital setting. Coordinate work with the hospital rules and mandates. Maintain continuous coordination and dialogue with the Architect/Engineer, user(s), and Physical Plant to ensure university requirements are incorporated in the design of assigned projects. Manage all facets of assigned projects from conception through design, construction permitting, and User Occupancy, as necessary to guarantee a quality project on schedule and within budget. Prepare feasibility, constructability, and value engineering analysis from the concept stage of assigned projects. Carry out review of drawings and specifications at each stage of design completion to ensure quality and accuracy of plans, compliance with University Standards, project goals, and objectives. Participate in and review contractors' bids (GMP) associated with the design document and identify errors and omission in the GMP. Manage associated meetings. Manage the construction, design, and associated consultants' activities, interact and communicate on pending issues with the assigned team member for timely resolutions to retain the scheduled progress. Maintain with assistance of the Senior Project Manager accurate project budgets, schedule (using MS Project software), and quality management indicators. Must have a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management
