Responsibilities
Instruct and oversee fellow A&A staff throughout engagements. Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.Prepare and or review financial statements. Complete general audit procedures including coordination of audit closing communications, drafting of client correspondence and resolving open items, etc.Research technical issues using online tools.Review work completed by staff and make recommendations regarding preparation and accuracy.Assist managers and partners in running client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, completing projects and managing to budget.Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing and meeting deadlines.Work closely with partners, directors, senior managers, managers, senior associates and associates on client management, professional development and business development activities.Assist with resolving more complex issues.Participate in client meetings. May lead client meetings with some clients.Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on audit projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews.Attend professional development and continuing education sessions on a regular basis.Other related duties as assigned.Desired Credentials
Bachelor's or Master's degree with a major in accounting.CPA certification or working towards certification required.Experience in an Assurance department of a CPA firm working as a senior associate or performing senior associate responsibilities.Thorough understanding of accounting standards and common audit procedures and techniquesTechnical knowledge sufficient to supervise others.Technically proficient in Excel, general ledger packages and computerized audit applications.Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.Outstanding leadership, mentoring and interpersonal skills fostering client and staff relationships.Excellent analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.Ability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships.
