This individual will require at minimum 6 months of working in the office with select days training in Munster, IN.
WORK HOURS:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
SUMMARY:
The Commercial Loan Credit Analyst is responsible for conducting a thorough analysis of applications for commercial credit and providing an analyzed, researched and documented package for loan administration or loan committee review.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and monitor the credit worthiness of the bank's commercial credit customers. Spread and analyze financial statements of borrowers, including the review of corporate tax returns, personal financial statements and personal tax returns. Prepare credit approval forms that discuss cash flow, financial trends, an analysis of collateral and the guarantors' financial profile.Contribute to and assist in the overall lending operations to ensure the department runs efficiently. Update and maintain financial ticklers. Assist in preparing for third party exams and audits. Answers telephone inquiries directed to credit area concerning loans in process.Assist other departments of the bank to ensure an efficient operation. Assist in customer service support and backroom support, as needed.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.Experience - One-Three (1 -3) years of experience as a credit analyst.Other - Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; Good understanding of financial statement composition; Ability to read balance sheets and income statements and calculate/interpret financial ratios; Detail-oriented.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
