The Clinical Informatics Laboratory II must demonstrate commitment to the vision, core purpose/mission and goals, modeling the values and culture.The analyst will be responsible for providing support toward the installation, configuration, conversion, implementation and ongoing utilization of various clinical systems.Responsible for updating, managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and training of staff on LIS applications, and other department related systems.This position must provide advanced knowledge in problem investigation, evaluation, and solution.Perform all necessary functions associated with maintaining and updating the Laboratory Information System maintenance/dictionaries to ensure ongoing functionality, assessment and planning, implementation information system support needs for the department.The position supports Information Systems team to accomplish projects that involve interfaces to the hospital main system to include but not limited to equipment, reference laboratories, middleware, and point-of-care systems.This position facilitates data gathering, develops and assists in formulation of database reports for evaluation of lab system for process improvement, inputs forms for building, modifying maintenance, and coordinating CDM requests.With appropriate direction and guidance, this position analyzes programs, tests procedures with thorough documentation in accordance with hospital, federal, and state regulatory requirements.Validating and testing and helping the supervisor with new builds and information.Requirements:

Develop, document, and monitor measurements of process improvements, including those enabled by standardized workflows with moderate supervision.Must have interpersonal skills to provide effective support to staff and maintain a collaborative working relationship in an interdisciplinary model with all service departments.Working knowledge of clinical laboratory, pathology, and molecular regulatory standards, procedures and relevant supplies, devices and equipment.

Education -

Bachelor's Degree. Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Biology, or other related field.

Experience -

Cerner experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of Anatomic, Clinical and Molecular Pathology clinical concepts, common clinical terms, clinical procedures, and workflow strongly preferred. Previous experience with ASTM/HL7 Interface language and LIS systems integration with multiple middleware's. Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience (preferably within LIS solutions). Minimum three years of clinical experience. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).

License/Certification -

Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP preferred). Current Florida State Board as a CLS - Generalist or Supervisor.
