Position Purpose:
Practice as a family medicine physician at the Hospital, in the Hospital satellite medical offices and the Hospital site for the Hospitalist Service call coverage.
Essential Functions:
Examines patients for symptoms or physical information.Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.Administers or prescribes treatments.Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies.Performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.Refers patients to primary care physicians or medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient's well-being.Documents the patient's visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.Job Requirements:
Doctoral degree (M. D., Doctor of Medicine and D.O., Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) or equivalentPhysicians must be board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Emergency Medicine.Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented.Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude.Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.Team player with a "can do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to establish and maintain professional atmosphere for employees, clients and customersExcellent interpersonal skillsSaint Anthony Hospital Highlights:
