A key Optimus client is looking to hire a
Senior Fundamental Analysis Analyst.
Key activities include:
Developing or improving models to forecast supply and demand in key marketsDeveloping or improving models to forecast commodity pricesAnalysis of environmental regulations and resulting impact on marketsFundamental researchCreating presentation materialsPresenting analysis results to members of the senior management teamRelevant Skills and Experience:
Bachelors or advanced economics, mathematics, business, engineering, or other quantitativediscipline with at least three years of experience in energy sector is required. Knowledge baseshould cover a subset of the following topics:Power, natural gas, and emissions marketsFamiliarity with research tools such as ABB-Ventyx Energy Velocity, SNL, and BloombergFamiliarity with modeling languages such as Python, R, or MatLabFamiliarity with Power plant operations and technology (conventional and renewable)Strong Microsoft Power Point skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Works within broad guidelines; able to work independently with minimal supervision.Team player who is used to diving into issues, brainstorming solutions, and learning new methods and tools to address; results oriented.
