We are currently seeking a Computer Operations Specialist to join our team in Wichita, KS. This role is an integral part of our technology team and will be responsible for ensuring that our computer systems are effective and efficient at all times.

Identify and correct file and system errorsPerform data processing operations according to a business production schedulePerform backup procedures to reduce the risk of data lossCollaborate with Programmers, Systems and Business Analysts to coordinate testing environments and resolve system problemsMaintain and manage processing logs and run procedure manualsTroubleshoot problems for usersNotify Programmers, Systems and Business Analysts personnel of system malfunctionsMonitor jobs controlled by an automated scheduling system to include building and editing jobs from the schedulerMonitor and/or perform the running of system and application updates and notify appropriate personnel of exceptions (ex: batch processing errors)Manually submit batch processing jobsRun application performance management scansProcess phone requestsProvide support during business continuity exercisesResponsible for all system and network availabilityOther duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job
Requirements
College DegreeOr level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements2-3 years experience with basic office products, mainframe systems, network methodology, operating systems, applications, current hardware, best practice protocols and standards required
