In this pivotal and strategic role, we seek a

seasoned product expert in the small and medium asset management market . This product lead will partner with the asset management leader to build world class products for this segment. The ideal candidate is not only a domain expert but also a

technologically savvy visionary , capable of translating market insights into innovative product solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis:

Conducts rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses of the Asset Management market, focusing on investment management solutions. Identifies growth opportunities, threats, and barriers to adoption for Clearwater's asset management product portfolio. Uncovers the specific pain points faced by clients migrating from legacy systems and devises strategies to address them.Solution Map/Blueprint:

Develops comprehensive solution blueprints covering all functional areas of asset management, from front to back office. Highlights the interplay of various systems and modules, and integrates technological enablers like data management, integrations, and document portals. Identifies key competitors and potential partners or acquisition targets to fill any gaps in our offerings. Updates the blueprint annually to reflect market dynamics.Build/Buy/Partner Strategy:

Collaborates with the Asset Management team and their leaders to formulate a long-term product strategy. Identifies areas where partnerships, acquisitions, or alliances can accelerate our growth. Participates in due diligence of potential acquisitions, focusing on their product strategy and technological differentiators.Client Engagement and Sales Support:

Acts as a trusted advisor to strategic clients and sales teams, leveraging deep domain and technical expertise. Cultivates strong relationships with key stakeholders and hosts product advisory boards to gather feedback and insights.Sales Analysis:

Analyzes win/loss data to identify our product strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Leverages both quantitative and qualitative data to uncover the key differentiators that drive sales and inform our product investment decisions.Execute on Product Roadmap : Defines a product roadmap that caters to small and medium asset managers. Works with engineering teams and leaders to build and deliver the roadmap.Thought Leadership:

Establishes Clearwater as a thought leader in the asset management industry. Showcases our technological innovation and deep understanding of the client's business challenges. Publishes insightful content, speaks at industry events, and engages with analysts to reinforce our position as a market leader.Go-To-Market Content Development:

Creates compelling go-to-market collateral that articulates Clearwater's value proposition across our asset management product suite. Develops commercial decks that tell a cohesive story of our product innovation and technological advancements. Partners with marketing and pre-sales teams to ensure content is up-to-date and resonates with our target audience.

(Role is not expected to be the single point of contact (SPOC) for implementation or delivery or responsible for closing deals.)

Qualifications:

15+ years of experience in investment management, order management, and portfolio management in the Asset Management market, ideally with a blend of technology vendor, consulting, and business leadership experience.Deep expertise in multiple functional areas of investment management, including OMS/PMS, front office/investments, and technology implementation.Experience in building products using Gen AI and other ML technologies is desired.Proven ability to identify and address industry challenges, such as regional regulations or evolving investment strategies.Strong understanding of the technology landscape in the investment management industry, including emerging trends and innovative solutions.Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, both internally and externally.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage C-level executives.Data-driven and analytical mindset, with the ability to create insightful market models and presentations.Hands-on and self-motivated, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and create impactful content.B.S in Finance, Business, or a technical field like Computer Science. MBA is a plus.

Compensation range:

$200,000 - $225,000/yr + bonus. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
