As Sales Manager, you are responsible for both managing a small team and delivering their own individual sales directly to building owners. This Position... Some examples of the work you might do includes: Leads, manages, and holds the branch sales team accountable for key metrics and results. Attains team and individual sales revenue and gross profit goals. Develops and delivers "winning" proposal and presentation strategies. Creates a "local market" owner-direct sales message and trains team on proper delivery. Tracks, qualifies, and prioritizes all sales leads. Works as a cross functional collaborator where their sales team and all of the branch staff work together, while following our guardrails about what each position is responsible for. Maintains market analysis of competition and customers with detailed account plans and zipper plans. Generates estimates that are reasonably redeemable by operations staff. Constructs thorough proposals to effectively communicate objectives, scope, schedule, price, alternates, basis of proposal, design criteria, and general conditions. Negotiates, secures, and executes acceptable contact terms that generate proper project cash flows. Initiates and successfully leads the transition process from sales to operations. Focuses on creating "customers for life," and obtaining aftermarket contracts. Pursues customers and opportunities that align with the marketing strategy on the branch's VTO and are within the branch's niche. Continually sources high talent candidates for future positions on the team. What You Need... Multiple years of professional sales experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to engage in effective collaboration and communication (both written and verbal). Effective organizational, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills. Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and marketplace. Ability to travel locally up to 70% of the time, primarily to client offices/meetings and job sites. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent. Previous supervisory/management experience in leading high performance teams. Conduct Standards: Maintains appropriate Company confidentiality at all times. Work Environment: This position operates primarily in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. Work duties may regularly necessitate walk-throughs of local job sites, during which the incumbent may utilize basic tools (measuring tape, screwdriver, wrench, etc.), and be intermittently exposed to the conditions typically associated with a construction site. Physical Demands: In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, walk, hear, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity. You may occasionally be required to climb, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and/or perform repetitive motion. This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
