Location: remote / travel within domestic U.S.
Subcontract agreement (1099; LLC preferred)
Shift: Flexible as needed (dedicated upon deployment)
Deployment: project deployment to customer locations as needed
Pay Range: $2,000 to 4,000 per week when deployed
Position Overview:
As a subcontracted advisor through Belcan, you will deploy to our customers and/or suppliers as needed to support projects related to strategic manufacturing and supply chain leadership and ASPICE consulting. Great matching candidates will use their knowledge and experiences with program management to ensure customer programs and projects relate and benefit one another to meet overall business goals. In this job, you will be on site at customers and/or customer suppliers working to assess, mitigate, consult, identify, and administer outcomes.
As critical project issues and needs for improvements or crisis intervention arise, this job will deploy to those customers. This job is a flexible, subcontract 1099 or LLC status. Great matching candidates will have strong automotive manufacturing and supply chain program management experience, as well as, being capable of both reporting and creating measurable solutions and outcomes for clients. This job requires the ability to develop and lead proactively through problem solving to demonstrate value creation.
Core job duties:
Oversee and coordinate different related projects in a company to ensure they benefit one another and meet business goals
Organize various programs and activities to improve customer company efficiencies, building long-term goals for company projects, and developing program and project budgets
Devising new programs that support the organization's objectives
Come up with sustainable goals for the organization
Work with other departments to develop budgets and plans for the programs
Monitor projects and overseeing project managers to ensure goals are met
Meet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals
Manage and be accountable for the contract performance for divisional programs or a set of related projects to achieve programmatic business objectives throughout the program lifecycle.
Serve as the customer advocate and ensures effective program management processes, schedule, cost, resources, risk, project change management, and commitments to customers are met.
Manages a program or combination of programs of moderate scope and complexity.
○ Programs typically are for a defined set of customers, market segment(s) or product line(s).
○ Program scope is generally evaluated based on non-recurring engineering (NRE) cost of the program(s).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business, or a related field.
PMP certification strongly encouraged
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10+ years related work experience; including leading multiple projects of varying complexity and scope and direct leadership of teams.
In-depth knowledge and proficiency with automotive program management processes, methodology, and architecture.
Ability to effectively demonstrate business skills and lead cross-functional matrixed teams across a suite of related projects.
Thorough knowledge of automotive industry practices and the marketplace associated with fielded product or service.
In-depth knowledge of automotive procurement requirements and understanding of financial and labor cost systems and production processes.
Proficient in the use of business applications software and the ability to use specialized project management and financial applications.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex policies, contractual language, and financial reports.
Ability to respond to and negotiate with customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to develop effective written communication and present information to various levels of management, customers, and/or suppliers.
