Description
The Relationship Manager will maintain and grow a deposit/cash management and commercial loan portfolio of secured and unsecured loans and lines of credit in the Commercial Banking group; provides a superior level of customer service to all current and prospective customers. In this role, the Relationship Manager serves as primary point of contact, client advocate, and relationship manager for middle market loans and deposits with loans sizes ranging on average from $2 to $50 million and deposits over $1 million.
Essential Functions
1. Maintains and grows existing and new commercial loans while providing superior customer service.
2. Negotiates and structures new and renewed commercial loans; prepares and documents current applications; reviews and analyzes financial data and other relevant information to determine each customer's eligibility for credit.
3. Extensive knowledge of all bank products; identifies relationship-expansion opportunities and collaborates with partners to structure, coordinate, and fulfill credit and non-credit solutions, including cash management.
4. Initiates and implements an effective calling program to focus efforts on maintaining and increasing commercial banking relationships.
5. Represents the Bank in community organizations and activities to enhance the Bank's image and maintain and enhance a referral network with Centers of Influence (COI's) for business development opportunities.
6. Supports the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) through business development efforts. Actively participates in community organizations.
7. Maintains a current knowledge of bank regulations. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Five years or more experience in financial or banking services in commercial lending with proven track record of exceeding performance in developing and maintaining business in the commercial industry. Bachelor Degree from accredited college in accounting, business, or finance or equivalent experience. Excellent sales skills with ability to meet or exceed established loan and deposit sales goals within expected timelines. Credit analysis and commercial underwriting skills, including accounting, financial statement, and cash flow analysis experience. Working knowledge with structuring credit products to middle market businesses in diverse industries with complex ownership structures.
