You'll be reporting to our Head of Distribution Engineering. This team is responsible for working across the stack to build new distribution channels and high-quality, seamless experiences that help users discover and engage with our products. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:Zone A: $205,800 - $274,400Zone B: $185,200 - $246,900Zone C: $170,800 - $227,700This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity. In this role, you will:Manage a team of technical leads and engineers, fostering their growth and inspiring innovation and operational excellenceOwn the delivery of new projects and systems across Loom productsCollaborate in technical & architectural discussions, provide direction, and drive decision-makingBuild an open, trusting, operationally mature cultureContribute to our quarterly planning processParticipate in hiring, planning, and other budgeting exercisesQualifications:
Your background:5+ years of experience mentoring and growing high-performing engineering teamsDemonstrated experience partnering with product managers and designers to create the course of a productAbility to drive high technical standards, accounting for performance, reliability, and scalabilityPast experience in working with globally distributed teamsBachelor's or Master's degree (preferably a Computer Science degree or equivalent experience)
