Job Description The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial operations. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health of Sofitel Istanbul. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the hotel's objectives. Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis. Ensure effective internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets. Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial planning. Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections. Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance and achieve operational efficiencies. Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders as necessary. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry. Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles. Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
