DVC provides our clients value-creating insights from vast market, operational, and financial data.DVC professionals work closely with our due diligence and valuation experts and investment banking teams. As a professional in the group, you will be teamed with highly talented and dedicated M&A professionals in various industry groups including Industrials, Healthcare, Technology, Business Services, and Consumer, Food & Retail (CFR) groups. This opportunity provides you breadth and depth of exposure to different transactional issues affecting businesses in an M&A environment.This position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate with experience in transaction advisory (e.g. Financial Due Diligence) but an interest in data analytics to transition into an analytics role. Candidates with prior transactions advisory experience, whether in the field of data analytics or not, who have an interest in data analytics are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in buy-side and sell-side M&A diligence engagements and data-focused engagementsCommunicate directly with senior business executives and internal stakeholdersGather, evaluate, sanitize, and organize datasetsPrepare data workflows to clean and combine data from multiple sourcesPrepare data visualizations and dashboards to deliver key insightsGenerate insights on the drivers of business growth, profitability, and liquidityIdentify the key business risks and opportunities impacting business valuationLearn and train peers in the advisory practice on data analysis and visualization toolsContinuously develop industry knowledge and qualificationsWork on multiple assignments simultaneouslyBasic QualificationsMajor in one of the following: Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or similar fieldPrior experience in either Tableau, Power BI, or bothPrior experience with data cleaning, preparation, aggregation, and analysis of dataStrong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointStrong analytical abilitiesExceptional work ethic, high motivation, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionalsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility and willingness to travel when requiredStrong academic performance, professional achievement, and history of client service excellenceExperienced Analyst: 1-3 years of professional experienceAssociate: 3-5 years of professional experiencePreferred QualificationsPrior experience in Alteryx, Dataiku, or similar data analytics, prep, or automation tools1-3 years of data analytics experience within the field of transaction services, accounting advisory, or similar fieldsThe following experiences are a plus:Prior coursework or other experience in relational database management systemsExperience in, or a working knowledge of, Python, SQL, R, VBA, Snowflake, or Google Cloud PlatformSalary RangeHoulihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is: $85,000.00-$160,000.00.
