Job DescriptionWe currently have a new strategic opportunity for an experienced client focused and technical Sr. Project Manager to join our Atlanta team! We are looking for someone that can manage and lead multi-discipline planning and design teams for large water and wastewater treatment facility, collection system, and distribution system projects for our key municipal clients in the greater Atlanta region. CDM Smith has been providing engineering services to the Atlanta metro market for over 40 years. Our services have spanned the areas of modeling, master planning studies, design, and construction administration of water, wastewater, storm water facilities, and infrastructure.As a member of this team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:Managing multi-discipline projects within the water/wastewater/conveyance engineering and construction sector from early concept development through detailed design and construction for the greater Atlanta region.Building and managing positive working relationships with key decision makers for our clients in the greater Atlanta area.Providing technical guidance, leadership, and mentoring engineering staff to enhance our water services design capabilitiesEffectively working with key technical specialists, project team members, client service leaders, and delivery managersPreparing, monitoring, and managing project budgets and schedules while managing the firm's riskCollaborating with our Sales team and assisting Client Service Leaders as well as meeting with clients in the Atlanta metro areaBeing active in professional societies in which clients or potential clients are membersMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree.10 years of related experience.PMP (PMI), CCM or DBIA certification is required (within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list).Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical EngineeringProfessional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain within one yearStrong communication skills with internal and external clientsPrevious experience and demonstrated performance in the project design and delivery of medium and large multi-disciplined wastewater and/or water treatment projects in the Atlanta metro areaTechnical experience as a leader, mentor, and problem solver with a determination for excellenceMasters Degree in Engineering or Science
