The Role:
As a Data Administrator you will:
Database Management:
Administer and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.Data Migration:
Plan and execute data migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to operations.Data Security:
Implement robust security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.Data Backup & Recovery:
Develop and manage backup and recovery plans to safeguard data against loss or corruption.Performance Tuning:
Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to optimize efficiency and speed.User Support:
Provide support and guidance to users regarding data access and management, resolving any issues that arise.Data Integration:
Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate new data sources and support data warehousing initiatives.Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and policies to ensure clarity and consistency.Compliance:
Ensure that all data management practices comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.Automation:
Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve data management workflows.What You Bring to the Table:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in data administration or a similar role, with a strong background in database management.Technical Skills:
Proficiency with database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.Knowledge of Scripting:
Experience with scripting languages like SQL, Python, or PowerShell for database automation.Understanding of Data Models:
Solid understanding of data models, structures, and database schema design.Problem-Solving Skills:
Excellent analytical skills to diagnose and address database issues effectively.Attention to Detail:
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing and maintaining data.Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Team Player:
