SQL Developer
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret Business Requirements to develop high-quality SQL queries and code that meet business needsExecute Test Scripts and stored procedures for newly developed functionalityResearch data required to properly execute queriesAnalyze existing SQL queries for performance efficiency and accuracyAudit query output and results and effectively communicate to business groupsSupport business units with SQL and development support as needed; Escalate issues or concerns as necessaryAbility to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations requiring advanced analytical and quantitative skillsMake recommendations to drive company business decisions and outcomesAssist in the development of reporting solutions leveraging SQL queries and data knowledgeWork in a controlled environment to mitigate risk and provide accurate and timely results by following controlled development and validation processesAdditional Responsibilities
Ensure query business requirements, structure, output, and approvals are captured and stored for audit and reviewPartner with other teams to develop and maintain relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives as requiredInvestigate exceptions and errors with regard to business processes to identify root cause and solutionsAssist in identify and/or resolve risk and controls issues impacting the business, including conducting control reviews or gap analyses for existing processes, as neededReview and analyze transactions and processes for compliance with regulatory requirementsCoordinate and collaborate with various functions / departments and project teams across multiple locationsPartner with other teams to develop and maintain relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectivesDesign/re-design for continuous improvement using Agile, Lean & Six Sigma principles and methodsSkills and qualifications
Bachelors degree and/ or equivalent work experienceRelevant Financial Industry experience3+ years of relevant SQL development experienceSense of ownership and pride in performanceStrong analytical skillsOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsHighly motivated, energetic, personable, thorough, detail oriented, and ability to multitaskGood problem-solving skills.Team player with the ability to work independentlyExcellent time-management and prioritization skillsProficiency with Microsoft products, MS Word, MS Excel SQL and MS Power PointExtremely detail-oriented and ability to prioritize and see initiatives through to completionAble to work in a fast-paced organization and meet deadlines
