Senior Structures Design Engineer IR35 Status: InsideHourly Rate - Circa £60 DOEContract Term - 6 monthsLocation - Hybrid, BradfordHere is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative forward-thinking company who are at the forefront of redefining what aircrafts can do. They design and manufacture safe, sustainable, and efficient aircraft.Due to the scope of the project, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Structures Design Engineer, who will work closely with the Head of Structures & Stress, supporting in airframe modifications and technical delivery for structure design.Responsibilities, but are not limited toGenerating the metallic and composite structural designs for all structural components and systems equipment interfaces on the aircraft utilising aerospace methods and processes across all phases of the engineering design lifecycleSupporting aircraft component design configuration control involving CAD data and documentation necessary for product manufacture through to a preliminary design phaseIn conjunction with the mechanical and electrical designers be responsible for systems equipment 3D and 2D interface representation within the structure of the aircraftThe product design modelling and drawing quality and the assumptions necessary to assure accurate part definition and successful product assemblyAdherence to the multi-disciplinary requirements and task integration to take CAD structures and equipment design through to design sign off for manufacture and certificationFor structural integrity and product safety, the successful candidate will be discipline capable of attaining in the medium term a Design signatureEnsure the appropriate application and adherence of Structures Design engineering standards and methods in the design of structure and systems integration componentsGeneration of technical memorandums, CAD models, 2D drawings, design reports, Product Manager (PM) data management documentation and Bill of Materials (BOM)Experiences requiredMust be competent in using CATIA v4, v5, v6 ideally or 3DEXPERIENCE within SolidWorksAble to create models for: parts, structural features, systems, equipment integration & assembly generation including appropriate technical assumptionsA working knowledge of managing a Product & Lifecycle Management: PLM, Windchill, Metaphase/Teamcenter, 3DEXPERIENCE tool to configuration control the product standardSome knowledge of Military or Civil design regulations is advantageousMust have the necessary authority to work in the UKAbility and willingness to travel in-country or overseas to visit suppliersKey Skills - SolidWorks, CATIA V5, 3DEXPERIENCE, Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Formula One, PLM, Windchill, Teamcenter, Metaphase, Parts, Assemblies, Structural, Equipment Integration, BOMs, Composite, Components, AirframeAdvertising your job vacancies with the IMI is an ideal solution to fix your recruitment needs at low cost.
